SWFObject works quietly in the background of your HTML document. When developing pages that use SWFObject, you should start with your alternate (non-Flash) content first.SWFObject works in all the current web browsers, including, on PC: IE5/5.5/6, Netscape 7/8, Firefox, Mozilla, and Opera. On Mac: IE5.2, Safari, Firefox, Netscape 6/7, Mozilla, and Opera 7.5+, and should continue to work well into the future.

There are two ways to do so
- One way is to include the swf file in the 'param' tag of javascript.
- The second way is to create a SWFObject.

I have provided the links to study this further:
SWFObject

Using the FileReference class

I have this project where i needed the functionality of browsing through different images and then uploading it on the server. I searched through the help files to find that there are two classes available for such purposes viz. FileReference and FileReferenceList class where the former is used for a single file and the later is used for multiple files. These classes are also used in Flash for the same purposes!!

Using these files may have not been the easiest job. But in the process i have found some really helpful links which one could use.

Abdul Qabiz's site http://www.abdulqabiz.com/blog/archives/

Oinam Forum
http://blog.oinam.com/archives/2005/08/flash-8-file-upload-download/

Flash platform site
http://www.tink.ws/blog/filereference-and-test-upload-in-as-30/

Macromedia's Site
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/8/main/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/

I am trying to make an optimum use of them.
